Blooming ...

Two blooms the first day

The Magnolia tree I planted in honor of my mom began blooming today, a day after what would have been her 69th birthday.

I'm glad to have such a beautiful tree in our yard.

On a completely different note; I found a dead rabbit in our yard.

Freshly dead

(no, not mostly dead, completely dead)

but (thankfully) not torn to pieces.

Not sure what killed it,

if it was the coyotes, they were run off before they could eat it.

I threw it 20 feet or so into the ditch,

out of sight

and/or accessibility of the curious children.

Ridiculous

The humidity in Saint Louis has us all feeling like it is August.

90 degrees with 55% humidity.

Sticky.

It's a sunny day ...

After much rain the sunshine is finally out.

I want to spend my day out side with my hands in the dirt.

I might do just that.

I have tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and some flowers that NEED to get into the ground. :)

I realize I haven't posted lately. Truthfully, by the end of the day I just have not felt like it.

We are busy, the kids are great, we are all healthy and happy.

The house is going back on the market in a week. We are having a garage sale and finishing up school. It's busy :)

Out painting ... Happy Mothers Day !

I thoroughly enjoyed a day outside yesterday, painting in Webster Groves at the plein air event.

I am thankful for my husband and children who encourage me and support me in my endeavors to become a great painter.

It was a windy and sunny day, and a bit chilly. and I SOLD my painting. Awewome.

Happy Mothers Day to all. I am blessed to be a mother to 3 wonderful children and 1 angel baby and very happy to be a mom who paints.
