This is a big recognition: There were over 100 artists from Missouri, the United States and Canada registered and submitting art. All submitted pieces had to be painted "in plein air" during this 10 day event.

"Spring Phlox" was awarded honorable mention. The official judges were from 2 different galleries, a representative from Kodner Galleries in Saint Louis and a representative from Rice Gallery in Kansas City.

There were First, Second, and Third Place and Honorable Mention in 5 categories : Oil, Acrylics, Watercolor, Pastel, and Mixed Media. A few artists won ribbons in multiple categories or more than one place in a category.

Very stinkin' cool!
