Seriously... again.

I think too too much.

I am waaay too emotional.

I am not yet done with all this grief. I am tired of it.

I found these quotes today:

God's delay is not God's denial.

We must first let go of the life we have planned, so that we may fully embrace the life that awaits us.

When God takes something from your grasp He is not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where you the Grace of God will not protect you.

Hilariously, as if I can still laugh for real, God made it so my "copy" option isn't working within blogger publishing and I had to type the above quotes in myself. In case you all didn't know, I am pretty much a standard "I do, I understand".

the poem (from my childhood) goes:

If I Hear, I Forget,

If I See, I Remember,

If I Do and I Understand.

doesn't really make it any less annoying to have to type it in though.

Is is possible to be Undone and Hopeful at the same time? Angry and Breathlessly in Love in the same second? to Despair and Worship in your heart simultaneously?

that is the current state of my life, of my heart, right now.

Good Times.

An awesome Food Dehydrator! It's something we have had on the "wish" list for a couple of years, one of those things that keeps getting put to the bottom of the list in favor of well, more necessary items.

We won it from a blog that has been in the sidebar for over a year,

How long can I wait ...

To put up another blog?

Well, a little while I suppose.

I have been busy, teaching and painting and generally being the mommy. Everyone is well in the house and we are all quite excited about spring hitting the area.

The crocuses are up. The daffodils are poking through and sending up shoots and buds. The ground is very wet and will probably stay that way for a few weeks.

We have spent a few days playing outside. One day to the zoo (with Daddy!). Another spent playing outside all day with friends in the front, back and side yards... we were all over the place and it was sunny and simply yummy. We have had a day or two inside too, watching the rain spitter and spatter about.

I have not yet made the garden plan. ooops. I have the general idea(s) in mind, I simply have not laid them out on paper yet.

I have pictures to post, of the zoo and other various cute faces... I just haven't had time.

I would post them with this entry, but I am on another computer while Hubby plays music on mine.

ACME says ...

The Piano is on the way!

Handsome hubby will have to build a Pulley drop for it. I'm sure the directions will all be in blueprint form.

Yup, that's my answer.

The wild dogs were yowling last night ... all night. Egads.

Furbearers and Forget it!

No help for that pack of wild coyotes living in our back yard.

Animal Control ... "Don't worry it, they've always been in the city"

Let's think here: Coyotes prey on animals, can carry off a sheep and are showing up less and less afraid of people.

Mine seem to care less that I live here.

Me: "I have small children, a 2 year old that plays outside"

AC: "I wouldn't worry about your children"

Do People THINK before they speak?

We live in a desensitized society. Seriously.

ME: What about trapping them?

AC:"We've tried to get trappers here to trap them, they won't come do it" "Just don't worry about 'em".

I have 3 coyotes, that I know of, living within 500 feet of my home, killing and eating within 50 feet of my home...

and the best suggestion I get from Animal Control is ... "Just ignore them."

I called Powder Valley... they were nice, and helpful to a point...

PV: "Keep a bright light on... they come at night."

Me: Um, it was 8 am and light out.

PV: "Make a loud noise." "Just bang on some pots and pans next time you see them"

Me: I did that, they didn't seem to care.

PV: "Spray a Hose at them." (Yes, they said that) ... Oh, I can just see that; "hey coyotes, don't eat anything or anyone, let me run get a hose and turn it on and then drag it out to spray at you"

I suppose when the kids play outside, we will keep the hose handy.

PV: Do you live where you could discharge a firearm to make a loud noise?

Me: Um, NO. (cause if I did, I probably would have shot them by now!)

PV: "Well, Someone with a Furbearers Permit, they can shoot them."

Okay; I looked that up and a Furbearer can trap a coyote in missouri, but live trap only.

So, no resolution and no hopeful suggestions for ridding our area of coyotes (after all, they've always been here?!)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not shedding any tears over the bunnies they are currently eating, or the deer they probably chased off ... but I still don't want a pack of wild dogs running around out there.

I wonder if I know anyone with a Furbearers permit? or could find someone...

and want to wait until November 15 - January 31 for them to be in season to trap?
